 Victoria Mutual (Property Services) Ltd (VMPS)
is a wholly owned subsidiary of the
Victoria Mutual Building Society, one of the largest financial
institutions of its kind, established in Jamaica in 1878. Victoria
Mutual is a household name among Jamaicans having served generations
from all walks of life for more than a century.
The company was
incorporated under the Jamaica Companies Act on August 12, 1991 and received
its licence to operate as a Real Estate Broker on November 28, 1991. Our
Real Estate Dealer licence number is 2002/DL010.
During the first few
years of its operation, VMPS undertook a number of Housing and
Property development projects through its subsidiaries, Manx Limited
(Stanmore, Red Hills, St. Andrew), Renovations Limited (Rhyne
Park, Montego Bay, St. James), Tisane Limited (Bushy Park, St.
Catherine) and Summerhill Developments Ltd (Jacks Hill). Lot
developments and sales were also done at Mount Atlas in Red Hills, St.
Andrew. These subsidiaries companies, with the exception of Manx
development Limited, have since been divested.
Since incorporation of
the company, the response from overseas and local customers have been
tremendous. Jamaicans living overseas and planning to return home, have
found it difficult to negotiate purchases or maintain their property from
overseas. VMPS has provided the answer to their needs.
The relief and comfort
which such customers experience at being able to utilize the services of
VMPS is evident by the comment of one woman who gratefully referred to
the company as “godsend”.
